We are at war! War against liberal ideals. This war extends far beyond our own county—to our state and to our entire nation. As a Federated Republican Women’s club, we need to be in this fight! We have a far different issue here in Santa Ana than in most of the rest of the United States. Generally, Republicans = Conservative and Democrats = Liberal. An easier fight: Republicans vs. Democrats. Santa Ana has a huge conservative population. A higher percentage of people voted in support of Proposition 8 here in Santa Ana than in any other city in Orange County. Yet, the majority of the population is registered, and votes, Democrat. Why?
A big part of our fight is to educate the people of our city on what it means to be a conservative vs. a liberal. How do we get conservatives into office that support our principles? How do we help people capture the American Dream? Santa Ana Republican Women, Federated is focusing much of its efforts on reaching out to our conservative community: educating them on what it means to be conservative and how their vote affects conservative values in our city, our county, our state, and our nation.
